This Metals Inspector position is located in the Executive Mission Helicopter Program, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast in Jacksonville, FL.

The main purpose of this position is to perform traditional and advanced nondestructive inspections (ANDI) of various forms offerrous and nonferrous aircraft metals and engine parts that are processed and manufactured in the FRCSE by using traditional and advanced nondestructive testing equipment and examination methods and techniques.

This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), and favorably adjudicated and approved for Presidential

Support Duty (PSD) in accordance with DoD Directive 5210.55 (Access to Presidential Support Facilities-Special Access Program, Yankee White).

Additionally, the selectee(s) shall be approved for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).


Perform traditional and advanced nondestructive inspections (ANDI) of various forms of ferrous and nonferrous aircraft metals and engine parts.

Inspect parts for flaws or defects or discontinuities in patterns.

Interpret indications and document flaws or defects in material; prepare reports on defective parts.

Examine parts as they are inducted into the facility and again after one or more steps of rework to determine if the unit still meets specifications.
